Bad news Pushing Daisies fans. It looks like ABC has decided to pull the plug on the series. The fate of the show has been up in the air for a while now as the ratings have been suffering in its second season. Not only is ABC cancelling Pushing Daisies but apparently they’ve also decided to call it quits on Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone.
E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos reported the news and based on her source, it’s likely that this is the real deal. Pushing Daisies exec-producer Bryan Fuller broke the news to her himself. The news about Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money came from “inside sources” but given the Daisies cancellation, it would make sense that ABC had also made their decisions on the other two series as well.
Dos Santos stated that Pushing Daisies will end after the thirteenth episode. On the bright side, there’s a chance the show could live on in comic book form. Fuller said they’re talking to DC Comics about continuing the story with them. This could be a good thing, especially considering that final 13th episode will end with a cliffhanger.
Well, this is truly disappointing news. Is it lame for me to hope that maybe ABC will touch Pushing Daisies and bring it back to life? Then maybe Private Practice could die in its place.

Man, Pushing Daisies, its just too good for network TV... granted it was tiugh to watch two people so much in love never be able to fullfill thier wish to be with each other, but it would have been a nice break to find out that maybe it would change, like after 1 year he can touch those whove died and been brought back, or during a certain time period (eclips or something, I dont know, im stretching). The fact is Pushing Daisies is a niche show, you either love its surreal style or you just dont get it. I was one of those who got it, and loved it, and wished more people opened themselves up to something as different and wonderfull as Daisies ... or Wonderfalls for that matter.
I say on, could HBO do it better? Maybe Showtime?
